License Keys

The locator RTLoc as well as the cross debugger of On Time RTOS-32 require a valid license key in the Windows registry. Usually, these entries are created by the install program. The key can be displayed and copied to the Windows clipboard with the Show License Key command available on the On Time RTOS-32 Start Menu.

If you need to manually copy On Time RTOS-32 to a different computer, or the registry is corrupted, you may need to manually reconstruct the license key. It is located under registry key:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\On Time\RTOS-32\4.0\License]

The key must contain the following two string values:

"Key2"="123456789012345678901234"   // "Key" for keys issued < 5.18 
"Name"="Your name goes here"

License Keys issued through an On Time RTOS-32 License Certificate version 5.17 or older are stored in value "Key" rather than "Key2".

Please replace the "Key"/"Key2" value with a valid 24 digit license key given on your license certificate. "Name" should receive your personal name.

Please be sure not to use the same license key on two computers on which On Time RTOS-32 might be used simultaneously. On Time RTOS-32 tools exchange their license keys at run-time and will report a license violation error if two equivalent license keys are being used simultaneously.
